The 2013-2014 school year brought about the first Open Mic Night on Wednesday, November 9 in Gatsby’s Grill.

A largely informal event, both students and faculty were encouraged to step up to the stage and read poetry, prose, song lyrics, jokes, even sing…or in the case of student Samuel Morrison, play the accordion.

The event brought together a large group of people all celebrating literature and music. Make sure to join us for the 2014-2015 events!

At this point, the English and Creative Writing Departments are planning to have at least one Open Mic Night per semester. Stay tuned for further details!
